Fixture Pile up

Nine games in a month - who'd have thought that after going a month without a game, well that’s the fixture pile up Coleraine have been given.  For the rest of the month we will have a game every Tuesday night and Saturday afternoon, in a bid to clear our backlog of fixtures.

It's a headache for Davy, as I'm sure we will end up hampered with injuries and suspensions and for a part time club and players it's a lot to ask.  I'm sure full time clubs in England and Scotland would complain if they had to play as many games in a month as we do.  But the fixtures have been set and therefore we must get on with it.

We will have home games against Glentoran, Portadown and Dungannon, whilst there is a lot of travelling involved for the fans as we face Donegal Celtic, Portadown, Newry and Dungannon all away from home as well as a possible Irish Cup away game.

Come the end of the month, weather permitting, we will have played seven league games and by then I would hope Coleraine will be either in the top six or knocking on their door.  It's a massive month for us in January and we must pick up as many points as possible.
